Saturday saw the pause in fuel price revision extending to the sixth day on run as oil companies continued to keep the pause button pressed on retail rates.

In Delhi, petrol retailed at Rs 101.19 a litre on Saturday.

The prices of petrol in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata stood unchanged at Rs 107.26, Rs 98.96, Rs 101.62 per litre, respectively.

Diesel rates also similarly kept unchanged. In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, diesel prices were Rs 88.62, Rs 96.19, Rs 93.26 and Rs 91.71 per litre, respectively.

The price status quo was maintained in India even as global oil prices continued to rise. Benchmark Brent futures are at present near the $73-per-barrel-mark on the back of supply concerns in the US in the wake of Hurricane Ida.

In India, under the current pricing rules, prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed and revised every day.
